HealthSpan Partners, an insurance company and medical provider affiliated with Cincinnati-based Mercy Health, will cease to exist at the end of this year.
Medical Mutual of Ohio is acquiring the group and individual health insurance business of HealthSpan Partners, which covers 105,000 people ¬– including about 32,000 people who work for Mercy Health, the fourth-largest employer in Ohio. Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
